Introduction

In the age of twenty Alexander the Great came to power that was beyond his young age. He was the first conqueror, not to mention that he was the great warrior and leader of the Macedonians. He conquered much of the civilized world were his genius military talent helped him. Alexander had the ambition to create a universal world monarchy. He put the foundation for the Hellenistic world, from Alexandria in Egypt to the borders of India and found a library in Alexandria, Egypt.
